Join Sanofi Sweden Public Affairs Manager. In this role you will lead, drive and execute the Public Affairs activities of our Specialty Care portfolio through national and regional strategic collaborations with our commercial teams. An integral element of your role will be to drive the strategy-setting, engagement, and activation of all external stakeholders who steer or influence the policies that determine Sanofi’s ability to successfully secure patient’s access to medicines together with benefiting the overall business from policy perspectives.
This is a permanent, office-based contract. Limited amount of travel is expected in this role (<10%)
Main responsibilities:
- Identify policy/health issues that impact the business
- Proactively assess the potential business consequences of policy changes in close collaboration with other teams
- Determine the engagement and advocacy strategies that will most effectively achieve policy changes to benefit overall business objectives
- Construct and roll-out a long-term Public Affairs plan for the Specialty Care portfolio, in line with both the business unit and cross-departmental priorities, and adapt plan to changing situations and priorities if needed
- Build contacts with external parties, including the development of a stakeholder network, in line with the priorities of the Public Affairs plan and the priorities of the local business
- Develop partnerships with healthcare provider associations (physicians, pharmacists, hospital, nurses), trade associations, patient associations (overarching) and think tanks in order to discuss trends and concerns and evaluate together how to maintain both a sustainable healthcare system and balanced economic environment
- Enhance Sanofi’s visibility and reputation both within and outside the pharmaceutical industry, e.g. through implementation of corporate programs, active participation in conferences, political events, symposia and industry association meetings
- Interacts closely with public health bodies on the subject of policy and strategy development
About you
- Master’s degree in an appropriate field (Health Sciences, Policy, Politics) or equivalent experience. Medical degree (pharmacist, doctor) is welcomed
- At least 5 years of experience in an industrial, consultancy, trade association, political or other relevant environment, with proven experience in Public Affairs or similar role
- Has an existing network of relevant stakeholders in the country
- Ability to operate in a cross-cultural and complex matrix environment
- Analytical and forward thinker, problem solver, results oriented, self-organized and self-starter
- Strong communicator and networker
- Excellent command of Swedish and English, both verbal and written
